Augusta fund innovative class actions filed against BHP

Augusta is proud to be funding two related class actions against mining giant BHP and the labour hire companies (TESA and Chandler Macleod) it used to employ workers as “casuals” at the Mt Arthur Coal Mine.

The claims, filed by Adero Law, allege the workers were not “casuals” and seek to recover compensation and penalties on behalf of the affected workers. The claims against the BHP entities arise from their knowledge of the alleged contraventions.
