Sara is a member of the Origination team in Melbourne. As an Investment Manager, she provides clients with an initial case analysis and pricing structure tailored to the client’s needs and expectations.
Prior to joining Augusta, Sara spent almost 20 years in private practice. She completed Articles of Clerkship and worked for a number of years in the litigation team at Middletons lawyers (now K&L Gates) and has spent the last 15 years at Clayton Utz where she was Special Counsel in the National Class Actions & Product Liability team and, more recently, she held the role of Senior Legal Project Manager.
Sara has extensive experience in class actions and product liability including; defending class actions involving allegedly defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals and breaches of continuous disclosure requirements; advising companies regarding various issues relating to their products including compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (including consumer guarantees and product recalls) and labelling requirements and she has also been involved in a number of coronial inquests.
Sara holds a Bachelor of Laws; Bachelor of Commerce; Bachelor of Arts from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts (French language) from the University of Lyon III. She is admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria and the Federal Court of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate.
