Scheherazade is an Investment Manager in the Originations Team focusing on the funding of international commercial arbitrations and investment treaty arbitrations.
Scheherazade specialises in the management and resolution of complex, large-scale claims with a multi-jurisdictional element. She has extensive client and project management experience, including a proven track record of developing strong working relationships in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She has advised and represented clients under the rules of major arbitral institutions, including the LCIA, the ICC, the SIAC, as well as ad hoc proceedings in India.
Prior to joining Augusta, Scheherazade’s practice had a particular focus on disputes arising in the construction and infrastructure sector. She was Head of South Asia at the SIAC, where she led the business expansion plans for SIAC’s first overseas representative office in India, and has worked as an associate at the London offices of a global law firm.
The author of numerous academic articles and chapters on international arbitration, Scheherazade is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and seminars.
Scheherazade holds an LLM in International Business Law from King’s College London and is a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted to practice in England & Wales, and India.
