Making the transition: Interview with new Investment Manager Thomas Storer

Thomas is an Investment Manager in Augusta’s Diligence Team. His role is to evaluate the legal and commercial merit of cases prior to being considered for funding, as well as monitoring funded cases.
Prior to joining Augusta Thomas was a Senior Associate in the Dispute Resolution practice at Ashurst, Sydney, where he specialised in financial services disputes, regulatory investigations and general commercial litigation. Thomas also previously worked in the Financial Institutions Disputes Group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, London and has undertaken secondments as an in-house legal counsel at Deutsche Bank in London and Commonwealth Bank in Sydney.
Thomas was previously the researcher to the Honourable Justice PA Bergin, Chief Judge in Equity (then the Commercial List Judge) at the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
Thomas holds a BA, LLB (First Class Honours) from the University of Wollongong and is currently completing a Master of Laws at the University of Sydney. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and High Court of Australia.
